Koen Veltman, founder of OrganizationBuilders
Koen Veltman believes in the positive power of organizations. Koen has over 20 years of experience as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, Aberkyn, and SparkOptimus. In 2016, he founded OrganizationBuilders, and in 2023, Teambooster.app.
Koen has worked on projects at more than 100 different companies. He works in a wide range of areas, including designing and implementing large-scale transformations, organizational design, leadership development, Agile, Lean, strategy execution with OKRs, and company-wide cultural change. He has worked with companies in a wide range of industries, in different countries, and ranging from 5-person start-ups to 250,000-person initiatives.
Examples of his recent projects include implementing the SCORE way of working at bol.com, supervising a pilot year of self-management at TNO, developing the Viisi salary model, and transforming Tikkie 2.0.
He holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MSc in Econometrics from Tilburg University. Koen has also served as COO at a company, worked at a startup in the energy market in Singapore, supported various charities such as WarChild, Technoserve, and Stichting LeerKRACHT, and sits on the advisory board for the INDEVOR foundation, where he was the initiator of INDEVOR consulting.
Koen lives in Bennebroek, is married to Clementine, and has two teenage children. He spends all his free time cycling enthusiastically.
